Via Francigena Taste of Tuscany tour from Siena to Radicofani is designed to minimise long walks and maximise enjoyment of Tuscan history, culture, food and wine. In addition, our experienced guides will give you tips on photography and sketching along the way!

Our Taste of Tuscany tour begins with two days in Florence, followed by two days in Siena. After that, we enjoy the highlights of Via Francigena walking stages 34, 35 and 36. This means that we walk the most scenic sections of each stage. This also allows time for photography and sketching, and enjoyment of historic monuments, food and wine. But, best of all are the Italian cooking classes!

Stage 34 Siena to Ponte d’Arbia

Via Francigena Taste of Tuscany day 5 begins with a 7 km walk from Siena to Chiesa di San Pietro a Paterno where we stop to photograph and sketch the distant views of Siena. Then, our chauffeur drives us to Quinciano, stopping to visit Cuna along the way. After that we walk 7 km from Quinciano to Ponte d’Arbia where we stop for a pilgrim’s break. Cuna, Quinciano and Ponte d’Arbia are great places for sketching and photography!

Stage 35 Ponte d’Arbia to San Quirico

From Ponte d’Arbia we walk to Buonconvento. Here we enjoy lunch and tour the medieval city for some photography and sketching.

After lunch we walk 8 km from Buonconvento to Caparzo vineyards stopping for a pilgrim’s break with wine tasting, sketching and photography.

After that, our chauffeur will drive us to our Agriturismo in Radicofani. Here we enjoy of the ambience of the countryside, relax by the pool and enjoy great food and wine.

Stage 36 San Quirico to Radicofani

On our second day our chauffeur drives us to San Quirico d’Orcia which is at the end of Stage 35 Ponte d’Arbia to San Quirico d’Orcia. After a tour of the city, we walk 6.0 km to Bagno Vignoni where we stop for a pilgrim’s break with some sketching and photography.

Then our chauffeur takes us for an afternoon’s drive along the Orcia Wine Trail. And, not to-be-missed is our afternoon swim at Bagnio San Filippo thermal baths. Our chauffeur takes us back to our Agriturismo for the evening where the highlight is our cooking class! The chefs teach us how to cook a 5 course dinner using the Agriturismo’s own organic produce!
